Happy Girl -Beth Nielsen Chapman |

So, I have absolutely no right to be, based solely on the mountain of paperwork and to-do lists posted on every flat surface in my lab, but I must admit I've been a bit bored lately. I do have the new season of Doctor Who airing on BBC America to console me, but that's not until late. And I'm going to TiVo it anyway, so it hardly matters.
Anything of interest happening in the world? You know, aside from the threat of nuclear war and other senseless acts of violence?

As many of you are doubtless aware, I made the long trek back to home sweet home (aka rural Illinois) over the weekend to partake of my mom's fantabulous Easter ham. It was very tasty I brought leftovers, including, but not limited to the aforementioned ham and a few varieties of pie. They are in the fridge, anything not marked as Property of Henrietta P. McCoy, Eat on Pain of Death is up for grabs.
Barring one painfully humiliating incident, it was a lovely weekend, I hope the rest of you can say the same. I also hope the rest of you finished up Mrs. Dalloway, but I'm not holding my breath. I've already resigned myself to bitter disappointment regarding any papers I may have assigned on genetic diseases.
